“”He told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” -Luke 10:2

An Urgent Need

In the wake of a season of global turmoil, our students are facing more pressure, pain, and mental health unrest than ever before. Rates of depression, anxiety, and even suicide have skyrocketed. We are sensing the urgent need of our students for connection unlike ever before. See Jonah’s story below to see that need and our prayerful response.

Meet Jonah.

Jonah is a young man who has been attending Campus Life for a number of years. While Jonah accepted Christ years ago, he has struggled in many areas of his life since that time. One area in which he has been most affected has been his mental health. Recently, Jonah reached out to his Campus Life leader in desperate need of support. The mental health crisis he was facing left him in danger of becoming a tragic statistic. They were able to meet and discuss the presence of Jesus in his life and the comfort that gives. Jonah shared the ongoing impact that this has had in his life by sharing that if it weren’t for Campus Life, he “wouldn’t be around today.”

A Call to the Laborers

As Scripture shows us, with such a plentiful harvest, there becomes an abundant need for laborers who will faithfully go into battle to harvest the field. At YFC, many of us have decided to set our alarms to 10:02 each day to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send us more laborers, as there is certainly a plentiful harvest! We ask you to join us in this prayer effort and consider if the Lord is possibly prompting your heart to join us as a volunteer ministry leader!

A Plentiful Harvest

Because of this mental health crisis that is affecting our students, we feel a pressing call to share the Gospel of Hope with EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, at EVERY OPPORTUNITY! We are watching God reap a plentiful harvest in that. We praise and thank God for the 44 youth in our juvenile detention centers that have prayed to receive Christ since July 2021!

Double Your Impact

Thanks to faithful partners like you, we are able to MENTOR & DISCIPLE students dealing with the pressures of the times, share with them GOSPEL HOPE, and EMPOWER LEADERS to join us in reaping this harvest. Thanks to some generous partners, you have the ability to double your impact this giving season! Up until December 31st, when you give any gift above your regular giving, 100% will be matched up to $50,000! May God encourage you in this season as we continually thank Him for you and your partnership in the mission!
